If we do say so ourselves, we here at the Nye County Shelter get in some of the sweetest, most wonderful animals in Nevada, all just waiting for their forever families to walk through our doors! Some of our animals need special care and some of them have been through hard times and need extra TLC. The one thing they have in common is that they are all in need of - and deserve - loving, forever homes.
The Shelter is open Tuesday thru Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. There are no monetary transactions done between 12:00 and 1:00 pm or after 3:30 pm. We are closed on Sunday and Monday.
Adoption fees are $85.00 for a dog/puppy and $55.00 for a cat/kitten and includes shots and spaying or neutering. There is also a deposit of $25.00 required which is refunded when the pet is spayed or neutered. Puppies and kittens will need additional shots. If a dog is already spayed or neutered the adoption fee is $40.00. If a cat is already spayed or neutered the adoption fee is $30.00. These fees include licensing.
